Teen Arts Week, an annual festival organized by 92nd Street Y (92Y), is returning for a second edition. For seven days in March, dozens of arts organizations in New York City will offer youth in the city free classes, performances, music jams, poetry slams, art-making and career workshops, and more.

This year’s participating organizations include the Museum of Modern Art, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, the Metropolitan Museum, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center Education, and the Studio Museum in Harlem, among others.

Launched in 2019, Teen Arts Week is led by 10 high school students in 92Y’s Teen Producers program, a two-year career mentorship program for New York City public high school students.

This time around, 92Y is also inaugurating a new award: The Teen Arts Week Citizen-Artist Award recognizes creative NYC teens who have made a significant contribution to their local community through the arts. The honor will come with a $500 cash prize.

All events are free to students aged 14 and up with a valid school ID. Educators are invited to bring student groups.

When: March 2-8, 2020
Where: Various locations across NYC
